The Zambia Agribusiness Technical Assistance Center (ZATAC) project is a five-year (1999-2004), USAID-funded effort designed to provide technical assistance, information, and financial intermediation to agribusinesses committed to working with smallholder farmers and small-scale rural entrepreneurs in Zambia. Over the past three years many such activities have been implemented, which have benefited smallholder producers and contributed to the continuing transformation of the Zambian agricultural sector.
