| Given Zambia's conservative credit environment,
ZATAC/DAI has also taken upon itself to offer financial assistance to
the agribusiness community. ZATAC is helping increase liquidity in the
sector and improve access to finance through leveraging mechanisms and
financial intermediation. One such tool ZATAC/DAI offers its bankable
clients working with smallholders is access to Trade Finance. ZATAC's
Trade Finance program will continue to work through instruments such as
warehouse receipts program, loan guarantee program, inventory receivables
financing, export-credit financing, and similar business leveraging packages
so that more smallholders can benefit directly or indirectly from the
successes of these agribusinesses. |
